The events coordinator will be responsible for managing events and media requests, both online and in-person, Sikhri-hosted, and third-party. Online events: Responsible for verifying webinar attendance, introducing the webinar, assisting the presenters, monitoring the chat, and occasionally serving as a moderator. This person should be tech-savvy, energetic, and reliable. This position requires individuals to work in a fast-paced environment while sticking to a strict schedule within the webinar. In-person events: Manage and coordinate community speaking engagements and media requests. This role will report to the Creative Director. It is a part-time position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage platforms (Big Marker, Zoom, Google Meet, FB Live) to set up events, open registration, and publish events details
  • Track attendance and manage correspondence with panelists and participants
  • Facilitate interaction and polling questions
  • Manage the recording (live or prerecorded) of sessions and all required training, including technical (audio/visual/platform) issues
  • Ensure the timely execution of all aspects of assigned events from scheduling to live virtual event follow up
  • Responsible for handling tech support of all sessions
  • Run post-event reports for internal/external stakeholders
  • Host webinars and occasionally moderate
  • Work with the MarComteam to ensure all communications are effectively quality-controlled to ensure accuracy
  • Manage and coordinate all in-person events
  • Manage and coordinate all media requests

Key Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1 year of Webinar/Webcast experience
  • Good communication skills and an ability to engage audiences in discussions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be able to learn the use of platforms like BigMarker, and manage the information about respondents, registrants, and attendees of events
  • Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask, manage and meet tight deadlines
  • Must be able to work well independently and as a member of a team
  • A service-oriented mindset to create delight and excitement with webinar participants
  • Available to work during any day and time events are scheduled
