Overview:

We seek a dedicated Transcreator for the Guru Granth Sahib Project, a unique initiative to bridge linguistic and cultural gaps through creative translation from Gurmukhi to English. This full-time position requires an individual with a profound understanding of Sikhi and the ability to translate and creatively adapt and convey the teachings of the Guru Granth Sahib for a diverse English-speaking audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Creative Adaptation:
    • Transcreate the Guru Granth Sahib from Gurmukhi to English, infusing creativity to preserve the original text's emotional and spiritual impact.
    • Use creative writing techniques to capture the essence of the teachings in a way that resonates with a broader audience.
  • Cultural Sensitivity and Contextualization:
